Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 1 May 2026
These terms apply to the services provided by The Somatic Centre ("we", "us", "our") and to your use of our website www.thesomaticcentre.com. By booking a session or using our site, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Our services
We offer somatic coaching, somatic sessions, and somatic bodywork, delivered online and in person. Somatic bodywork is available only to existing Somatic Coaching clients, or to those with previous experience of hands-on and/or energy-healing modalities.
Not a substitute for medical or psychological care
Our work supports wellbeing, self-awareness, and personal development. It is not medical treatment, psychotherapy, or a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for advice or treatment from a qualified doctor, therapist, or other healthcare professional. If you have a physical or mental health condition, please consult an appropriate professional. If you are receiving medical or psychological treatment, we recommend discussing somatic work with your provider before booking. In an emergency or crisis, please contact your GP, emergency services, or a crisis helpline.
Booking and payment
Sessions can be booked via the links on our website or by emailing us directly at thesomaticcentre@gmail.com. Payment is due in advance, unless otherwise agreed. Prices are shown on our website and may change from time to time.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, please give us at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged in full. No refunds are given. If we need to cancel or rearrange a session, we will offer you an alternative time or a full refund.
Your responsibilities
To help us work safely with you, you agree to share any relevant information about your physical or mental health before and during sessions, and to let us know of any changes. You are responsible for the information you provide. You agree to attend sessions free from the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
Consent and touch (bodywork)
Somatic bodywork involves physical touch. Before any hands-on session we will hold a consultation to agree clear communication and consent boundaries, in line with trauma-informed best practice. Your consent is ongoing: you may pause, adjust, or stop a session, or withdraw consent to touch, at any time and for any reason, and we will respect that immediately.
Confidentiality
We treat what you share with us as confidential and handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy, available on our website. There are limited circumstances where we may need to disclose information, for example where required by law or where there is a serious risk to your or another person's safety.
Conduct
We are committed to providing a safe and respectful space. We may decline or end a session if we believe it is not safe or appropriate to continue. Mutual respect is expected from everyone involved.
Liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from our services. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. You take part in sessions voluntarily and accept responsibility for your own wellbeing, in line with the guidance above.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website, with the date last updated shown at the top.
